Capstone Healthcare Birthday Ministry

“Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord”  (Leviticus 19-32)

Capstone Healthcare is a nursing home in Daingerfield servicing retired and disabled individuals in the local area. On average, Capstone is the home of 55 residents, ranging from younger disabled to older retired. Most residents are fortunate enough to have family members that visit regularly, but quite a few have distant or no relatives to keep them company. These once vibrant, contributing members of our community have found themselves in a season of life that can be debilitating and sometimes lonely.

As much as the staff and family members are involved, there is always a way that we, the community of faith, brothers and sisters in Christ and future wise ones, can help to brighten their lives. There is much to be gained from their wisdom and the blessing of putting smiles on the faces of the residents is priceless.

One way to serve, be blessed and alleviate the load of many caregivers and give respite, is to celebrate the birthdays of the residents each month of the year.  If you would like to serve in this ministry, we invite you to attend the birthday parties, as you are able, please use one of the available email addresses below and a coordinator will contact you with more information.

Gift donations are welcome each month, please see suggested items below. Feel free to bring them at any time on Sunday and Wednesday throughout the month, each month. Give once or give any time! (See suggested donations below)
