The Coming Apostasy

Paul juxtaposed the ending of his pivot point in chapter 3 with the beginning of his second main section of the letter to Timothy beginning in chapter 4. He closed out chapter 3 with the truth that Jesus came to earth as Truth incarnate, and he began chapter four with a sober warning: apostasy is coming. Jesus is incarnate Truth, but the would system has and will continue to reject Him. And many will fall away, depart from the truth of God's Word and accept what is false as being true through the hypocrisy of false teachers.
